Buy one of our teacher writers a coffee
Our writers are excellent and outstanding teachers who are recovering from illness and are no longer able to work as full time teachers.
The pandemic was tough on everyone. Teachers in the early years taught throughout the lockdowns exposing themselves to risk of infection and hospitalisation in order to keep schools and nurseries open for key workers. A lot of you know how hard educating young children is because you had to do it, or knew someone who did when schools were closed. Teachers were not given priority shopping or discounts in stores. They were not clapped every Thursday and were often teaching two classes - the children in school, and the children at home. We taught through break times, through lunches, listened to children read remotely and prepared work for parents to deliver alongside our usual planning.
As a result many of us burned out or became ill. Our lives have completely changed as a result and many have been left with Long Covid.
If you think you could donate £3.50 to our teacher’s coffee fund, then it would go a little way to helping these teachers get back on their feet. If everyone who visited the site bought them a coffee, it would go a loooong way…
Thank you.
