Birth To Three - Where I live
Your tiny human needs support in understanding and making sense of the world around them. You can help them to make links in their lives and their learning, and the more links you help them make, the smarter they get!
Where I Live is one of our All About Me range of Birth to Three resources. We show you how to play with and talk to your baby, toddler and three year old about where they belong and how it makes them who they are.
Making links between home and family, and experiences outside the home are crucial to a child’s learning and development, but also to developing a sense of belonging, a feeling of being part of a wider group or community. Children also recognise from a very early age that people taking an interest in and understanding their home and culture means that they are valued and important and indeed that we are all different! It’s the start of developing a tolerant, inclusive and balanced child who understands difference in others.
